An annual High School Essay Contest is funded by the foundation. This contest is held in the month of October with awards being made during the month of November each year.
We provide grants to a number of community based charitable organization including the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and the Acts Program, and we provide grants to support the George M. Hampton Middle School and Youth Mentoring Programs to include the Omega U Program. We award grants to many community support programs to include the Relay for Life Cancer initiative, the annual Walk for Diabetes, Health Fairs, Blood Drives and St. Jude Hospital. These are often done in affilation with Pi Lambda Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi, Inc. We have awarded over $85,000 in community grants.
Our Foundation is proud of its sponsorship of the Omega U program. OMEGA U is career readiness mentoring program that focuses on character, leadership, scholarship, and community service by exposing students to various careers, lectures and tours, educational workshops, and seminars. We have provided over $50,000 in funding to the Omega U program.
